Math –  Sadlier Math

In 5th grade, specific areas which will be emphasized will be:

  • Place Value to Billions, Addition and Subtraction
  • Place Value and Decimals
  • Multiplication
  • Division
  • Number Theory and Fractions
  • Fractions: Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, & Division
  • Decimals: Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, & Division
  • Measurement
  • Geometry
  • Volume                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 Science-    Lab Learner                                                                                                          Each Unit or Cell is divided into different Investigations which consist of a Pre Lab where concepts are taught, vocabulary is developed, and a video explaining the lab work is presented. One day a week is set aside to experiment in the Lab. There is a Post Lab review and assessment.
