I am Natalya G a current student in 8th grade at Blessed Trinity. We are working hard in school learning about Kinetic and Potential Energy, Verbs, The Ten Commandments, and much more. Many students have started to shadow high schools, and although I haven't yet I'm sure it was such a great experience. Now aside from School work, Blessed Trinity’s annual Trunk or Treat just happened! Me and my family always have so much fun seeing the decorated trunks and all the cool costumes! That’s Just a little bit of what the eight grade at Blessed Trinity is up to!
Today was the last first day of school at Blessed Trinity for my daughter. In September 2009 I dropped her off for her first day of Pre-K with Mrs. O’Brien. This morning she was greeted in the school yard by Mrs. O’Brien. I had promised myself I wouldn’t get emotional. I was doing great until this happened! I flashed back to her as a 4 year old being greeted for the first day of school by this same wonderful teacher. The time has gone by just too fast! She started this journey at St Timothy’s and will end it in June at Blessed Trinity.
Here’s a walk down memory lane that some St. Timothy’s alumnae will enjoy. If you were enrolled at St. Tim’s in 1971, look for yourself in the “groovy” class photos below. Let us know in the comments if you’ve spotted yourself, and share with us some memories of this school in the ’70’s!
My name is Theresa Gleason-King. I first stepped foot into St. Tim’s School in September 1964. I was a first grade student in Room 102. Sister Marie Barbara was my teacher. Photographers from the Philadelphia Inquirer came to our school to take pictures of my homeroom’s first day.
Hi! My name is Gia. I am an 8th grader here at Blessed Trinity Catholic School. I am involved with many extra curricular activities! I am a student ambassador. As a student ambassador I am very involved with not only the school community but the church community also. We give tours to new parents who are considering our school as one of their options and we help out at school functions. Bobcat Patrol is also another group I joined. Bobcat patrol consists of 7th and 8th grade students who are dedicated on helping out, in and around our community. We host events such as our annual spring cleanup, where we collect all different types of items and we donate them to certain places. Another thing that we did this past year was collecting art supplies from students at our school and we delivered them to The Children’s Hospital Of Philadelphia. As well as helping out around school, I read the prayers over the loudspeaker every morning. It’s always a great feeling when I walk down the hallway and smile at all the younger children in our school, who know that I say the prayers.
