Hello! My name is Siobhan Horgan. I am so excited to be teaching at Blessed Trinity! Let me tell you a bit about myself. I attended Saint Charles Borromeo grade school and Holy Cross High School( now Holy Cross Academy) in New Jersey. After High School, I worked for a year in a health insurance office. I then attended my community college for a year and then went to DeSales University.
This year I begin my 21st year of teaching! During my years of teaching I have attended countless learning opportunities and professional development workshops to enhance my teaching as well as keeping up to date with the latest practices and innovations. I was accepted and completed the Educational Leadership Program of University of Pennsylvania. Currently I am studying for my Masters of Education at Liberty University.
I love seeing the world through my students eyes. I love to teach reading. More so, I love to instill the love of reading to all of my students.
In my free time, I love the great outdoors and everything involved in it; the sun, wind, bugs, dirt, camping, swimming, hiking, animals and so on. When I was little I wanted to live on a farm. Who am I kidding, I STILL want to live on a farm!
Most school days you will see me sipping an iced coffee or water. I recently discovered Cherry Vanilla Coke and I am hooked! Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and Milky Ways are my favorite treats. One time a student made me a Christmas wreath covered in them! I also like to cook and bake. My family is usually the happy recipients of any tasty treat that I have concocted. I obviously love to read all summer long.
I adore my 4 handsome nephews and my gorgeous niece. You can usually find a cute picture of them on my desk.
Thanks for stopping by to find out more about me!
