Hello! My name is Susan(Sue) McCall, your child’s Library teacher at Blessed Trinity Catholic School. I am very excited for this opportunity and privilege! I feel as though I have been in Catholic education most of my life! I attended St. Martha’s grade school, then I went on to Archbishop Ryan High School. From there, I attended Holy Family University for one year until I transferred to Temple University. Despite switching schools, I continued to teach CCD classes at my parish. I received a Bachelor’s of Social Welfare degree from Temple University with a major in Child Care(everyone wanted to open daycare centers back then!) It was a terrific and diverse opportunity for me. I then taught Pre-K 3 at a private Mayfair preschool for about ten years until my sons were born. I did some in-home daycare until I started my teaching here in the library for nine years, which has given me plenty of experience to prepare for this learning adventure. I also spent some time teaching 5th grade and Pre-K3 here at Blessed Trinity.
I’ve been a member of St.Timothy Parish for over thirty years and both of my sons attended that school. With that being said, I’m definitely invested in this school, community and neighborhood! I am looking forward to sharing the wonderful wisdom of words in not only religion, but also reading and writing fun. I have been teaching for over thirty years! Since then, I’ve been here teaching at this wonderful school since 2005. In fact, I started as a volunteer here under the tutelage of the late Sister Sally Daly, who was the librarian here for the previous 19 years. I am so grateful to be a part of this edifying environment of education. I truly look forward to sharing my love of reading, rhyming, songs and God's Word with all of your children.
I promise you that I will do my very best in all I do to instill a love of learning in an atmosphere of fun and an environment of safety that will last a lifetime. Please join with me as a PASSIONATE PARTNER in your child’s educational experience! It is in FAITH that I pray for each child, as well as their accomplishments, as we embark together in their education. It is my HOPE that each of your children will encounter numerous successes in their endeavors throughout this school year. It is in LOVE of God and for others that we will embrace every task committed to Christ to see it through to completion (Phil.1:6).
We here at Blessed Trinity we are working hard to make your educational experience as enjoyable and effective as possible. Together, we will try our best to make 2024-2025 the best school year yet!
