Our prayerful hope is that this letter finds you and your family well. When Blessed Trinity shutdown on March 13th we thought it would be for two weeks. Little did we know it would last for the remainder of the school year with the uncertainty heading well into the summer. COVID-19 has changed our lives drastically and some family and friends close to us have been affected deeply. They will always be in our hearts and prayers. Blessed Trinity’s staff and faculty have done a Herculean job coming together and putting in place an exceptionally effective virtual learning atmosphere. We all prayed, of course, to return to the classroom as soon as it was possible. This school year has presented many challenges and we are meeting them head on. Our faculty, who would normally be enjoying the summer slowdown, worked tirelessly to make sure the needs of EVERY student are met for the 2020-2021 school year. Blessed Trinity has returned to in house learning in a hybrid model of part in-house and part virtual learning. Our hope and prayers rest in a very near future of returning to normal with 5 days a week in school learning but we must face what this pandemic throws at us head on. With that in mind we have a comprehensive plan in place to teach our children virtually. Our teachers are committed, energetic and willing to meet any challenge they face. Our maintenance staff has and will continue to thoroughly clean and sanitize our building so it’s safe and clean for our students, faculty and staff. We are a truly blessed school community. As you can imagine this pandemic has put an enormous strain on the school’s finances as well as those of our families. We have a superb system in place for financial aid through EITC/OSTC*, Annual Fund, private funds and parish funds but it has been stretched to its limits. New times require new methods of teaching, learning, cleaning and running a successful school. We have and will continue to meet the future of Catholic school learning head on. We purchased many Chromebooks for those in need of a device for learning at home. Cleaning buildings has intensified and with that costs have increased. Unfortunately, all of the hallowed and time honored Catholic school traditions of fundraising and community building have been put on hold. We cannot hold any in person fundraisers for the foreseeable future. These fundraising events are not only a lifeline for our budget they are also intricately weaved into our Catholic identity and make us the spiritual community that has been alive in Mayfair for over 90 years. We are strong and we will survive! We are ALWAYS overwhelmed with emotion when we see the consistent support of our alumni. You CONTINUOUSLY come through for us!Our students, families, faculty and staff are the beneficiaries of your generosity. Your support of Blessed Trinity truly helps make future Catholic leaders. That cannot be understated. We ask you humbly and graciously to give a gift to Blessed Trinity’s Annual Fund and help us continue our mission through some very trying times. Your gift will make a difference in a child’s life. Please know you are always in our prayers. Make God bless and keep you and your family safe and healthy. “Rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer.” Romans 12:12
